When is a color combination harmonious and when is it not, which typography is not beautiful and why, and is chaos always the wrong way? Is absolute harmony and pure aesthetics always the best or only way to create a good design? The challenge of this workshop will be to venture out of one's usual "feel good" environment into unfamiliar, colorful, chaotic and disharmonious terrain. How can one create irritation? What means are possible? Colors, fonts, contrasts, format, statement vs. visualization... the possibilities are endless! The aim is to create irritation in the poster, the way to achieve this should be unusual and become an adventure, which can and should be seen in the final results, a poster series.

Sven Lindhorst-Emme (Germany)

Sven Lindhorst-Emme is a member of the Type Directors Club New York as well as the 100 Beste Plakate e. V. Together with Lea Hinrichs, Sven Lindhorst-Emme runs the studio lindhorst-emme+hinrichs in Berlin. He first trained as a lithographer and worked as such for ten years. He then studied graphic and communication design and moved to Berlin in 2011, where he founded his studio in the same year, initially alone. In addition to lectures and workshops in Germany and abroad, he teaches book design and communication design at the Lette-Verein Berlin and has been a lecturer at various colleges and universities.

纽约字体指导俱乐部（New York TDC）会员、德语百佳海报董事会（100 beste Plakate）成员。曾工作于Fons Hickmann设计工作室，受聘于柏林艺术大学，担任字体版式设计指导教师。2011年在柏林创办了自己的设计工作室，主要从事书籍、海报、平面形象设计。设计作品曾入选德国最美的书、莫斯科金蜜蜂国际海报双年展，德国奥地利瑞士百张最佳海报、芬兰拉赫蒂国际海报三年展、纽约TDC及东京TDC等。2018年获美国Graphis设计奖金奖和银奖。他不仅在德国和其他国家的多所学院和大学担任讲师，任教柏林Lette-Verein私立设计学院，教授书籍设计和版式编排设计。
